How are my contributions invested?
The College Savings Plan of Nebraska offers 4 "Age Based Portfolios"
that become more conservative the older the beneficiary gets, 6 "Target
Portfolios" that keep the same asset allocation over the life of the portfolio, and 20 "Individual Fund Portfolios" with each portfolio investing in a single mutual fund. The portfolios contain funds from well-known mutual fund families. Once an account is established, the Account Owner is permitted to change the selected portfolio once per calendar year or upon a change of beneficiary.
Can I Change How I am Invested?
The Account Owner may change the Portfolio or Portfolios in which his or her Account is invested once per calendar year, or upon a change in Beneficiary. If an Account Owner has multiple accounts in the Plan for the same Beneficiary, or multiple accounts in the Plan, the TD AMERITRADE 529 College Savings Plan, and The State Farm College Savings Plan, the Account Owner may change the Portfolios in all such accounts without tax consequences, so long as the changes to all of the accounts are made at the same time and no more frequently than once per calendar year or upon a change of Beneficiary.
